Project Description:

The purpose of the project is to promote and enhance the performances of the public authorities in Turkey in terms of rule of law, respect for human rights and freedoms, transparency and fairness, and good governance. To do so, the project specifically aims to support the establishment of the Ombudsman Institution in Turkey at its inception phase of operations to develop into a prominent body in line with EU standards and the Paris Principles. It is also aimed to increase public awareness by launching a public awareness campaign through media and internet, organize an international symposium and regional conferences, conduct public opinion polls, raise court awareness and facilitate joining international network for Ombudsman Institution.
